White Logistics partners with HVS for Groundbreaking Hydrogen Fuel Cell Truck Trial

White Logistics partners with Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS) for Groundbreaking Hydrogen Fuel Cell Truck Trial

We are very pleased to announce our partnership with White Logistics, where we will explore the suitability of zero-emission hydrogen HGV technology for adoption onto their fleet.

White Logistics have entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with HVS which will provide them with trial vehicles for their fleet, where they can test drive the vehicles on their delivery routes and experience hydrogen fuelling equipment first hand. The agreement will enable White Logistics to collaborate with HVS on all aspects of hydrogen electric vehicle technology, hydrogen infrastructure and refuelling equipment and share operational data that will ensure a successful trial introduction.

White Logistics will be in a favourable position to convert part of its fleet to these cutting edge, zero-emission HGVs following this trial period.

With a fleet of over 150 delivery vehicles and trailers, of which over 90 are heavy trucks, White Logistics has been providing comprehensive warehouse, storage and logistics solutions to businesses nationwide for over 50 years. From their base in the heart of Worcestershire close to the motorway network, White’s is committed to driving sustainable initiatives that decrease their carbon footprint and that of their customers and subcontractors.

We pride ourselves on our modern fleet that is optimised for mileage and environmental efficiencies whilst always meeting the needs of our customers. As we look to the future, White Logistics will again be at the forefront of available vehicle technology. We are exploring the latest developments in alternative fuels and are very excited about working with HVS to understand how Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will support us in our net zero ambitions.

MORE ABOUT THE HVS TRANSITION TO ZERO PROGRAMME

The Transition to Zero Programme outlines HVS’ commitment to supporting potential partners in their journey towards zero-emission transportation. Through their collaboration in the Transition to Zero Programme, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a trial involving HVS’ innovative Hydrogen FCEV HGVs. This trial allows potential operators to test drive the vehicles on their delivery routes and experience hydrogen fuelling equipment first-hand. Following this trial, HVS anticipates that partners will select and acquire their vehicles for their transition to zero-emission operations.

Throughout continuous collaboration, both parties will provide comprehensive support to facilitate the transition to zero-emission fleets. This structured framework encompasses various aspects, including technology options, hydrogen refuelling infrastructure, safety and regulation guidance, finance options, government incentives, warranty information, training programmes for driving and maintenance, and fleet assessment. The aim is to ensure a smooth transition by sharing detailed insights, information, and the resources necessary for a successful adoption of Hydrogen FCEV HGVs, aligned to partners' sustainability goals.
