We fully support International Women's Day (IWD) here at HVS. We are privileged to have a number of inspirational women who are all driving the business forward. One such amazing colleague is Stephanie Thomson, Head of Corporate Services. We asked her to share her views on IWD and her time at HVS.

PNDC, a whole energy systems research, test and demonstration facility, has taken delivery of our first hydrogen Medium Commercial Vehicle (MCV) prototype, for the next key phase of testing. PNDC will be carrying out performance testing of the chosen fuel cell as part of a £30million grant-funded project from the UK government’s Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC).

HVS are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Silver Medal by Greenly, a recognised leader in digital carbon footprints and expert in assessing corporate climate performance. This places HVS in the top 10% of evaluated organisations and signals our proactive approach towards climate action and environmental responsibility. Greenly’s assessment has been rigorously designed to identify companies that demonstrate excellence and sincere commitment in their climate and carbon reduction strategy.

HVS are delighted to be attending COP28 as part of the Net Zero Business Delegation of 19 industry-leading Net Zero companies from Scotland. Supported by The Scottish Government, Scottish Development International and the Scottish Chambers of Commerce.

HVS today announced acquiring the majority stake in Mage Control Systems Ltd. Mage Control Systems, a Scottish based engineering consultancy, has specialist expertise in adaptive and predictive control system design. The acquisition bolsters HVS’ technology capability, enabling rapid prototyping of hardware and software.

HVS has unveiled its innovative modular platform, which offers HGV operators maximum flexibility from a single base vehicle. The modular platform is built on a fixed wheelbase, which means the vehicle’s footprint does not change, irrespective of specification.

HVS Celebrates Milestone Testing Phase with Rollout of Engineering Prototype Vehicle; X1.5

HVS is pleased to announce that we have selected HSSMI, a leading sustainable manufacturing consultancy, as preferred supplier to provide manufacturing engineering services. Under this contract, HSSMI will provide manufacturing engineering services to support the delivery of our innovative hydrogen fuel cell truck technology.

HVS have joined Hydrogen UK! Our membership will ensure that we are central to the development of a thriving hydrogen industry. We will represent the commercial vehicle sector as we call for a sustainable green hydrogen supply and infrastructure. Hydrogen UK is a well-regarded trade association committed to the development and deployment of hydrogen solutions and we are delighted to become members.

As HVS took part in this year’s MOVE event at London’s ExCeL, it prompted the business to undertake some research into the impact hydrogen electric fuel cell commercial vehicles could have on the nation’s capital.

Throughout late Spring, HVS have been busy revealing the new HGV technology demonstrator at key UK transport events. Kicking off with the vehicle grand reveal at the Commercial Vehicle Show in April, the HGV has been touring flagship events displaying the vehicle to fleet operators and commercial vehicle enthusiasts.
